The Warden Blast Diffuser directs concussive blast forward of the weapon system without venting gas to the side. This reduces overpressure felt immediately to the left and/or right of the firing position. When fired from the prone position, the device mitigates dust signature.
The Warden attaches to any SureFire SOCOM 5.56 or 7.62 muzzle device via the SureFire Fast-Attach system. Unlike a suppressor, this product does not attenuate sound and is not an NFA device.

Works Well!
The Surefire Warden QD does what it claims to do. I am using this over a Surefire SOCOM brake, and it bats down about 80% of the anticipated flash, without affected recoil via the brake. Is this a replacement for a flash hider? Not really, but it's not meant to be. Regarding its blast forward claims, it nails this part and I've had no issues with this device in prone or on or near dirt, sand, etc. This device is on the heavier side, and can change the balance of your rifle, so please be aware. I am also still in the process of testing any potential POI shifts due to the increased pressure at the muzzle. And don't forget, like a can--this will get hot! A 3rd part or DIY wrap is essential if you're planning on running more than a single standard capacity mag through this device at one time. It's solid, well-built, does what it claims to do, so overall very happy with this in lieu or an actual can.

Worth The Money
I was on the fence about buying one of these for a long time and finally decided to treat myself. The warden provides a drastic reduction in concussion and makes shooting much more pleasant for yourself and those around you. When I’m shooting by myself I typically leave it off. While you are at it pick up the Surefire 3 prong Warcomp.
